Key Performance Areas
System support
- Support and maintain production system(s)
- Ensure that all support queries are logged
- Attend to these system queries according to agreed timelines
- Have the capability to identify and solve technical problems
Development
- Deliver solutions according to the agreed sprints
- Adhere to coding standards defined by technical management
- Understand relational database concepts
- Possess knowledge of classes, components, objects and interfaces
People and team management
- Actively drive and review team KPA’s in collaboration with senior managers
- Continuously review and assess skills and competencies across the team and motivate effective development plans (PDPs)
- Lead and direct the team through inspiration and innovation
- Participate in discussions and forums to improve processes and procedures across the team and organisation
Requirements
Qualifications & Accreditations
- 3 Year Degree with Information Technology being the core subject or equivalent qualification (e.g. BSc Computer Science or BSc IT)
Experience & Skills
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in C#, ASP.Net and SQL/T-SQL
- Minimum 5 years’ programming tool experience in:
- Visual Studio 2012 or newer
- MS SQL Server 2008 or newer
- Competent in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge and understanding of a Full Development Life Cycle
- Knowledge of agile/scrum
- Knowledge of system/industry best practises
