Senior Network Administrator 

Key Outputs

  • Support and maintain desktops (hardware and software), server and network infrastructure
  • Monitor and maintain backup and disaster recovery operation
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software or other network related problems
  • Plan, coordinate and implement network security measures to protect data, hardware and software.
  • Monitor network performance to ensure optimal efficiency
  • Maintain, upgrade and support the organization’s corporate network and server room
  • Proactive monitoring of all servers
  • Second level support to the helpdesk and support team
  • Procurement of hardware/software
  • Troubleshoot all technology issues
  • Maintain log and/or list of required repairs and maintenance
  • Make recommendations about purchase of technology resources
  • Research current and potential resources and services
  • Manage and maintain all telecommunication technology

Perform other related duties as required during working hours and be accessible after hours for emergencies, special projects and otherwise business disruptive technology tasks

Qualifications and Experience

  • Matric / Grade 12
  • A+, N+ and /or relevant working experience
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)
  • Must have Virtualization experience
  • PABX / VOIP Experience
  • SAN Experience
  • 4 – 5 years’ experience in a similar role

  • Routing and switching
  • Scripting
  • Any other related Information Technology qualifications
  • Hospitality and tourism sector experience
