IT Coordinator

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
The IT Coordinator needs to act as the IT Management team’s first point of contact with people from both internal and external to the organisation

REQUIREMENT:

 

  • Matric
  • Secretarial/Business Administration diploma a strong advantage
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a corporate organisation
  • Experience working with key personnel both external and internal and understanding an organisation’s aims and objectives
  • Strong administrative skills as well as strong IT skills
  • The ability to interact with people at all levels in the organisation
  • The ability to manage time effectively and efficiently to meet work priorities
  • Motivated and willing to go the extra mile
  • Excellent time keeping
  • Ability to multi task
  • Very good interpersonal skills, listening skills, focused, attention to detail

 

  • Developing and maintaining office systems, including data management and filing
  • Arranging travel, visas and accommodation and occasionally, travelling with the manager to take notes or dictation at the meetings or to provide general assistance during presentations
  • Screening phone calls, enquiries and requests, and handling them when appropriate
  • Meeting and greeting visitors at all levels of seniority
  • Organising and maintaining diaries and making appointments
  • Dealing with incoming email, faxes and post, often corresponding on behalf of the manager
  • Carrying out background research and presenting findings
  • Producing documents, briefing papers, reports and presentations
  • Organising and attending meetings and ensuring the manager is well prepared for meetings
  • Liaising with clients, suppliers and other staff
  • Carrying out specific projects and research
