Key Performance Areas

System support

  • Support and maintain production system(s)
  • Ensure that all support queries are logged
  • Attend to these system queries according to agreed timelines
  • Have the capability to identify and solve technical problems

Development

  • Deliver solutions according to the agreed sprints
  • Adhere to coding standards defined by technical management
  • Understand relational database concepts
  • Possess knowledge of classes, components, objects and interfaces

People and team management

  • Actively drive and review team KPA’s in collaboration with senior managers
  • Continuously review and assess skills and competencies across the team and motivate effective development plans (PDPs)
  • Lead and direct the team through inspiration and innovation
  • Participate in discussions and forums to improve processes and procedures across the team and organisation

Requirements

Qualifications & Accreditations

  • 3 Year Degree with Information Technology being the core subject or equivalent qualification (e.g. BSc Computer Science or BSc IT)

Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in C#, ASP.Net and SQL/T-SQL
  • Minimum 5 years’ programming tool experience in:
    • Visual Studio 2012 or newer
    • MS SQL Server 2008 or newer
  • Competent in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge and understanding of a Full Development Life Cycle
  • Knowledge of agile/scrum
  • Knowledge of system/industry best practises
